The Australian South Sea Pearl oyster

South Sea Pearls are pearls that grow at ocean waters mainly in Australia, Indonesia, Myanmar,  the Philipines and, Tahiti (French Polynesia).

The South Sea Pearl is an organic  Gem,  other Gems you generally think about like Diamonds, Emeralds, Ruby, Sapphire, to name a few, are all minerals which need carving and polishing or other works or them.  However, the value of a South Sea Pearls is to be untouched as it is born inside the Oyster with its natural color and orient and luster.

There are around 10.000 different oysters around the world but only two, The Pinctada Maxima and the Pinctada Margaretifera grow beautiful South Sea  Pearls inside.
